Information You Submit
Names, locations, or other terms entered into a search box are sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Crosby County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s rules govern the query after submission.
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share message contents outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Like most sites, technical systems may record routine details when a page loads. Those records can include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring site, when available; and
- date and time stamps.
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, though blocking them may change how some features work.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports ordinary site operation and service improvement. It may be used to:
- keep pages available and responsive;
- send a search request to the selected partner;
- understand which resources visitors use;
- diagnose errors and other technical problems; and
- display advertising that may reflect inferred interests.
Outside Websites and Advertising
Links may lead to Crosby County offices, Texas corrections resources, federal locators, other government portals, or third-party search tools. Once you leave, the destination’s own privacy policy applies. Crosby County Released Inmates does not control those policies.
Some advertising providers may use their systems to measure activity across different websites and select targeted ads. That tracking is performed through the provider’s technology, not as a Crosby County government function.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may nevertheless pass to limited service categories when needed:
- search partners that process submitted queries;
- analytics providers that measure site use;
- advertising networks that deliver or assess ads; and
- law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard practices intended to protect information from unauthorized access or misuse. No website, network, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed breach-proof. Use online forms with that limit in mind.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the information actually held, you may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal data associated with you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information that may lawfully be erased; or
- opt out of certain processing.
Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs requests for records held by Texas governmental bodies. It does not convert this private site into a government custodian or require us to produce Crosby County records we do not host.
